o well, since i m on holiday and am super free now.... time to blog.

1st - went for niva's wedding today. it was awesome!! the stage was very pretty and they had quite an elaborate ceremony. my 1st indian wedding. my impression. big BIG party!! i think there was more than 1000 ppl there.

2nd thing - just found out my house contract not renewable so i would have to pay double rent for 3 mths.... dat kinda sucks.... blergh. my 1st 3 mths pay would go to paying double rent. only consolation is, i m claiming every single cent i can get from salary sacrifice. so well, i supposed it wouldn't be that bad. still, double rent!! i m so gonna be poor..... sniff. hope the owner will change his mind. =(

3rd - penang is so super humid!! sweat sweat sweat. i m perpetually in my room aircon-ning or full blast fan. on the bright side, i went for thai food at cherry sweet!! as fabulous as usual!! think thai green curry chicken, belacan fried rice, pineapple fried rice, pandan chicken, deep fried kangkung, white tom yam, claypot tofu, tab tim krub (which we had 2 helpings) we are seriously gluttons. keng leh.... my partners in crime: yen, yin, and kz!!! to make our conscience feel better, we went to gurney drive for a walk. so dirty la the sea there. nothing compare to the beautiful beaches of Adelaide. i miss Adelaide.

4th - i m heading down to KL this tuesday to babysit my bro. feel bit malas but have to la. shall treat it as a holiday... hope to catch up with baaaaa, hooi wen and few other friends. hot hot hot!! i don't feel like going out to SWEAT.

5th - i should quit whining. i know i should.

wedding dinner tonight. good indian food at palace of india ( i hope i got that right ) ntg cheers me up like good indian food!!!

i made this cause catherine wanted to learn how to cook nasi lemak and nicole just wanted to eat. this is really easy to make and it tasted super yummy too on a cold cold winter day to eat ikan bilis sambal, potato curry and nasi lemak.
roti kaya.... i bot a new toaster so i felt really semangat-ed to eat bread. so i bot a bottle of nyonya brand kaya.... super good. the feeling of home. roti bakar with kaya. sniff.
i am too lazy to write stuff so as the saying goes, a picture says a thousand words... it was hols for 3 weeks and a lot of things happened.... i went to hahndorf and this is what i ate - ultra yummy german sausages!! was awesome. if you guys ever come to adelaide, i'll bring you to this place.

delicious cupcakes..... recipe complimentary of culinary princess. i believe i made some people happy tonight. :)

Nutella Frosted Cupcakes
10 tbsp(140 grams) butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cups (200 grams) sifted ap flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
Nutella, approx. 1/3 cup

Preheat oven to 325F. Line 12 muffin tins with paper liners.
Cream together butter and sugar until light, 2 minutes. Add in eggs one at a time, until fully incorporated. Don't worry if the batter doesn't look smooth. Add vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and baking powder until batter is uniform and no flour remains.
Using an ice cream scoop, fill each muffin liner with batter. They should be 3/4 full, if you're not using a scoop. Top each cake with 1 1/2 tsp Nutella. Swirl Nutella in with a toothpick, making sure to fold a bit of batter up over the nutella.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
Makes 12.

OXYGEN CAMP~!

decided i shan't upload any pics cause they are all on fb anyway....

verdict: CAMP was AMAZING~!!

yes, it was tiring, there was a lot of prep involved.... i got a bit gwampy.... but in the end, God's purposes prevailed. i think everyone got more than what they expected. the atmosphere was unbelievable~! i felt that i should have more faith.... but God is certainly stretching me that way. 1 wk before camp, we had 70 ppl registration.... think i was bit less "semangat"... it was our 1st camp after all.... 70 is not a bad number.... but no, we had 110 ppl rock up~!!!

1st day: everyone was hyper including me.... i haven't been for a camp in 3 yrs~! a stayed in camp anyway. came with some expectations, maybe not GIANT ones but well, i did think... after all the effort i made, God, u did better do stg~!!! and knowing God, He surely did. :)

1st sermon by aunty chiew har.... on simon peter throwing the nets the other side, obeying the Master although he had been fishing all day and caught no fish whatsoever, and him being a fishing person being told to throw the nets on the other side of the boat, the left n right side weren't that far apart. but he obeyed. and he caught a big harvest, 153 large fishies.... how sometimes we can be stuck fishing on 1 side and catch nothing whatsoever.... and we just got to obey and do something different, extraordinary, supernatural, throw the nets on the other side although it may seem dumb.... fish can swim from one side to other side, but that's besides the point.... i think it's a matter of submission and obedience to the voice of the Master. step out to do something extraordinary~!

2nd day: half pancit, cos 1st day too semangat - played ping pong, futsal and captain ball.... muscles aching, not to mention ppl keep on trying to poke at my giant bruise from paint ball... still, plenty of adrenaline pumped up for worship~! the worship team was great... morning msg by pastor mark who came all the way just to share the word of God.... seriously, i was half asleep cause i couldn't sleep the night before. BUT good thing for note taking, i did manage to get some bits and pieces..... CLING to WHAT is GOOD~!!! do not let go of the WORD of GOD. in my own words, hang onto what GOD has promised for dear life!!!

games was fun, although i got wet cos andrew hit me with the water balloon twice!! and niva shine once, but well i dunked 3 on her.... kekeke. we didn't do so well as a team but yong was very 'keng'. 4 on 1 den 5 on 1.... hope he got ard to removing the splinters though. had a great time bonding with other team mates. played heaps of ping pong, thanks to jolene.... finally, a girl player somewhere.... very sien being "qi fu" by guys. esp jolvin... n well, i am bad with plastic bat.... no idea how someone could play with dat thing... no rubber 1. so cham.

being "unofficially" on call during camp was sorta good also in a way, ntg big happened. thank God. removed a splinter, a small piece of glass, saw some small scraps and bruises, a sprained ankle. gave someone antihis to sleep.... not entirely best practice but well, i can only do so much.

the night msg on isaac digging wells. i'm not very good at explaining things but well, the gist of it is... do not give up~! do not give up on your dreams~! keep digging wells, there will be opposition, there will be disputes but God will give you room.... you will come to a place where you will flourished if you do not give up.

cream puffs

Recipe from culinary princess.

Ingredients

Pastry

1 cup (200ml) water
1/2 (150 gm) cup butter
1 cup (125 gm) flour
4 large eggs
1/2 tsp salt

1) Heat water and butter to rolling boil; reduce heat. Stir in flour and stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms into a ball, about 1 minute.
2) Remove from heat. Beat in eggs; continue beating until smooth.
3) Heat oven to 200 degrees Celcius or 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
4) Use rounded teaspoonfuls (to tablespoonfuls, depending on the size you like) to make mounds about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
5) Bake puffs until they are puffed and golden brown, 20 to 30 minutes. Cool.
6) Slit each puff halfway and put in the custard filling.

Custard:

3/4 cups of brown sugar
1 cup of milk
2 tbs of butter
2 tps of vanilla essence
1/4 cup of cornstarch
1/2 can of corn kernels

1. Heat butter + sugar + milk till boiling. add cornstarch and vanilla essence.
2. Remove from heat. add in corn kernels.
3. Mix with mixer till smooth.
4. Fill puffs with 1tsp of custard and leave to cool before refrigerating.

was an eventful wk end. went paint balling. having acquire quite a few giant bruises, i would still highly recommend it to others who love to simply shoot people in safe environment. well, i accidentally shot my own team mate in the ass. hehe.....

i do relate to this some times. the feelings of PMS siness.... can be overwhelming and unreasonable to the maximum. and the feelings of self hate, disappoinment with one's behavior can get a person really down. And I do nothing but let it get to me....

So reading this, it help me realise.... there are ways to cope, to allow God's grace to be sufficient in my weakness. not that it should be an excuse for me to behave badly. but to know He gives grace. And not to be hard on myself.

haven't been blogging for a while. not much inspiration. so have just been posting up pictures to keep this blog alive.

was looking through some blogs and felt inspired to write something....

currently doing my med scap in kelantan for 1 month. 2 wks have passed.... really quickly i must say, have i achieved much? not really, yet i'm enjoying my time here. the consultant is a real cool guy from KL doing his gastro rotation for a year, so it's all good. everyday's half day, ward work and clinic.... den back to baya's for a nice nap and spent heaps of time watching tv and korean series. i supposed there could be more condusive ways to spend my time. but it seems like a real rest in these 3 mths of hols, it's been pretty full before this. i haven't spent much 'me' time. days were filled with work, hanging out with friends, church, went to bali, langkawi, KL and JB. it's nice to slow down and find rest in this really chill pace of life. it's as if the world is moving slowly although in reality it's still moving the same pace as before. it's just that i slowed down. a good time to ponder bout life, but that's not something i m doing now. 2 mores wks to go here, then 5 days in penang, and then i head back to good ole' adelaide. i do miss that place. it's seems like home to me already. my life there, it's pretty much set. my group of friends, church, uni routine, environment. it's like it grew on me without me realising. this past year has been awesome despite some not so great events happening in my life, i found that i actually love being where i am and around the people whom i care for. there was once i didn't even consider staying back in aus to work, now, 2 years later, things have changed, i fell in love with a place i was once thought was slow, boring, mundane.... it's all about the people i think. they make a whole lot of difference.

i came out with a new phrase today.... what do you call someone who is malay + chinese?
malaynese!! i don't know if there is an actual real word but well i think it sorta makes sense. it sounds better den chi-lay or ma-nese... which just don't quite fit.

and some "medical" phrases i learnt on this rotation
manja-itis = in other words malingering in manglish
hepatitis-ing = acute hepatitis?

btw, congrats to those who passed sem 10 - darlin siew lian, jimmy and shang... awww. finally, you guys are officially Drs. can't wait to grad but at the same time, i hope this year won't pass me by so quickly. i do want to have a great 6th year with heaps of wonderful memories of my last year as a student.

one day, i want to look back and see the beauty of my past. :)

these are my fav cookies for cny so not one to turn down a baking session, went to ko's house with yen to try out a recipe from cyberkuali. it turned out to be quite good although i think we overbaked d cookies a wee bit. good job for 1st timers....

recipe:

Ingredients

110g butter
110g castor sugar
1/2 tsp grated rind of lemon or orange
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg yolk
100g cornflakes, crushed lightly
125 g self raising flour
1 tbsp corn flour

Method

1.Cream butter, sugar and essence until the mixture turns light and fluffy.
2. Beat in egg yolk and lemon rind. Fold in sifted flour and mix. Put mixture into the refrigerator to chill for half an hour until it turns slightly firm.
3. Drop teaspoonfuls of mixture onto the crushed cornflakes.
4.Shape into balls and place on lightly-greased baking trays and bake in preheated oven at 170°C for 20—25 minutes or until lightly golden in colour.
5. Cool on wire racks before storing in airtight containers.

haven't been blogging in a while....posted pictures but not written much bout anything....

perhaps i have been hit by this giant wave of procrastination....

i don't really wanna share my heart anymore.... maybe i just feel tad bit weary bout life....

some days i feel purposeless, other days i feel alright... all in all i kinda cruise through it all and behave as if everything is alright.... well, it sorta is... yet, it is not.... i go from anger.... to "watever" to things are jus gonna be dandy.... and i get use to it....

somedays i think.... everyone else thinks i am alright.... why shouldn't i be okay anyway? i m not lacking anything big. or at least i think so.... nobody's dying, it's holidays (ya, i have to work and that sucks, but i'll get over it) i should be happy. why am i not happy ?

today i realised something, i am an internet addict. my internet didn't work last night and this morning, and i felt "distressed" beyond what was normal. i do my devotions online too. so i told myself, jus read the book version of the bible... but it jus felt odd. i have been using biblegateway.com for quite some time till it felt odd to read a book bible. excuses. so i made myself read my book bible. still felt odd. so i set myself up to fix this net problem. went downstairs, fiddled with the wires, switched on and off the modem.... got grumbled at by my mum for fiddling with her com, well hers is connected by cable to the modem... and the net was not working anyway....so well, anyway the net self healed itself. and it decided to work, and well, i felt tons better... now i can go on msn and facebook or surf.... to kill time.... i am stuck in this "activitism", other than that i sleeeeeppppppppppp..... i find it hard to sit down quietly and not do a thing, that would be sleeping to me.... man, i think to be still before God... it's a big effort. 1 minute into it, my brain is off wandering somewhere, i m off in my dream land...

today i felt like a bad person, i felt guilty of wanting to be myself.... in other words, selfish, don't care how others feel or what they want, jus leave me in peace to be in my own selfish little world su ling.... i wonder how many ppl can identify with that?

375g butter

1 and 1/3 cups brown sugar

3 eggs

2 cups plain flour, sifted

1/2 tsp baking powder

2/3 cup baking cocoa, sifted

3/4 cup milk

200g dark chocolate, melted

1 bottle of caramel

1. preheat oven to 160 degrees celcius

2. beat butter and sugar for 8-10 minutes

3. gradually add eggs, beat well

4. fold in flour, baking powder and cocoa

5. add melted dark chocolate

6. stir in milk

7. 1 tps of caramel for each cupcake.

8. bake for 1 hour

lamb stew

felt bored of studying.... made up this recipe cause i was lacking a lot of ingredients in actual stew recipes....

so basically

marinate lamb in

2 tps of minced garlic
3 tbs dry sherry
1/2 tps of paprika
pinch of salt
few sprinkles of black pepper
1 tps of oregano

keep it in the refridgerator overnight.

2 potatoes - cubed
2 carrots - cubed
3 stalks of celery - chopped into bite size
cayenne pepper
worchester sauce
5 tbs bolognese pasta sauce
2 tps of minced garlic
olive oil
salt
pepper
3 cups of boiled water
2 tbs of corn flour

1. Fry minced garlic in olive oil till slightly brown.
2. add marinated lamb and stir fry for a while.
3. add 3 cups of boiled water, bolognese sauce, salt and pepper.
4. add in potatoes, carrots and celery.
5. stir occasionally.
6. leave to simmer on low heat for 1 hr.
7. mix corn flour with cold water. add to thicken stew.

banana cake

due to request from certain ppl, i baked banana cake. 1st round was not dat great. 2nd round... was absolutely perfect... recipe from culinary princess with a few modifications.

Ingredients

125 g softened salted butter

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1 1/2 cup mashed ripe banana

2 tsp of pure vanilla

300g plain flour

1 tsp bicarbonate soda

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ cup buttermilk or ½ cup milk

1 tsp lemon juice

½ cup walnuts, chopped

Method

Butter and flour a 20 cm square cake tin, then line base with baking paper. Preheat oven to 180 C.
Cream butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
Beat in eggs, banana and vanilla
Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture, alternating with milk.
Fold in walnuts.
Spoon into tin.
Bake for 45 mins or until cake test clean
Cool cake in its tin on a wire rack for a few mins before cutting or storing in an airtight tin.

basically, the next day... the lepers went to the arameans camp and found that they had all fled in terror... and they left everything behind. and they went back to the city and reported this. and the king sent spies to check out the story and found it to be true. in their hurry to rush out of the city to the food, clothes and plunder.... the king got trampled by his people and died...

1. do we sometimes scoff wat God can do like this King? those who scoff will not inherit the promises of God. those who disbelief will not taste the goodness of God.

2. so we have CRAZY faith like Elisha? like the man in the new testament who said, " Lord, I believe. Help me in my unbelief." in the same way, I want to have CRAZY faith that God can bring back to life the dead, open the eyes of the blind and cast demons out... Faith doesn't make much sense and it may all seem ridiculous. logically, these things would sound totally outrageous. but God is bigger den my logic. He is able in all things to do the impossible... what more change my life, reach the lost, help me in exams, heal relationships?

Am i crazy enough to believe....

i can be more than i am today.... in my studies, in my relationships, in my spiritual walk with HIM....

God spoke... and my heart moved....

went for young guns conference today... pastor ashley and pastor danny spoke.... it was....wow...... 2 mighty men of God. the presence of God shook the place.

i realised i don't have the gift of writing or expressing myself very well cos i tend to beat round the bush a lot. so will try to get straight to the point.

pastor ashley spoke on:

how we are all like seeds and we have huge potential in us.
to grow we need to be planted in the right environment.
and it is the environment that determines the outcome of our lives.
so choose wisely our environment.

principle 1
- a seed contains more than you can see.
there is more to us than wat meets the eye. it is in us waiting to be released to its full potential.

principle 2
- each seed hs the potential in itself to produce a 100 seed harvest.
however a seed by itself will never grow. it needs the soil.

principle 3
- when the seed remains out of the soil, it cannot grow.

principle 4
- it's the soil that produces the end result.
it is the environment that produces the harvest.

principle 5
- the soil is misunderstood and underestimated.
if i knew how great the environment is, i would plant myself so deep, no one can pull me out.

principle 6
- the 1st thing the seed does is to put down its root.
the deeper i put my roots, the easier for me to get rid of rejection, hurt and other negative emotions,

principle 7
- the soil becomes more fertile everytime something dies.
when we die to our selfishness, laziness, we add fertilizer to our environment.

goldilocks peach crunch

Ingredients:

1 can (29 oz) peach slices; drained
2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
1/3 cups Orange Juice
5 tablespoons butter; cold but cut into pieces
1/3 cups Brown sugar; packed
1/2 cups Corn flake crumbs
1/2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the baking pan.
Arrange peach slices in bottom of dish. In a small bowl, combine granulated
sugar and orange juice. Pour over peaches; set aside.

In bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, corn flake crumbs, flour, and
cinnamon. Sprinkle over peach mixture. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until
golden and bubbly.

Notes: This is also good served cold, with a big dollop of whipped cream on.

had left over ingredients so jus modified the recipe, this taste so much better den the original recipe... basically same peanut butter layer with 2nd layer...

Cream filling:
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons margarine (solid) - i used butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
powdered sugar (optional)
whipped cream (optional)

CREAM FILLING:
Combine 3/4 cup sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan. Gradually add 2 cups milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is very thick. Blend 1/2 cup of the hot mixture into 2 eggs that have been slightly beaten; add back to saucepan. Cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Blend in margarine and vanilla.

unfortunately it didn't taste as good as it looks. mainly cause the peanut butter layer was quite melty so needed to be refrigerated in the freezer. overall, 2 outta 5 stars... recipe from http://www.recipezaar.com/recipe/getrecipe.zsp?id=103391 recommend to put less milk and more cornstarch to thickened filling. peanut butter soup is nice though. :)

saturday was a good cooking and eating session. nasi ayam dedicated to baya ( my baby) and irene....

recipe for the nasi from http://resepi.mesra.net/Detailed/2472.shtml

and malay fried chicken

for the marinade:
1/2 tsp 5 spice powder
1 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp salt
1/2 onion, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup coconut milk

Marinade overnight/ at least 2 hrs befoe frying..
Fry on the first side until golden brown and crispy, about 10 minutes; the timing will depend on how hot the oil is. Turn the chicken pieces over with 2 forks or a pair of tongs and continue to fry them. You may need to raise and lower the heat a few times to maintain the proper frying temperature. The oil should always be bubbling vigorously. It should take 20 to 25 minutes total to fry the chicken. If you're not sure if the chicken is cooked through, test it by poking a fork into the thickest portion and then pressing down on it. The juices that are released should run clear, not pink. Remove the chicken pieces to wire rack or paper towels and let drain for a few minutes before transferring them to a serving platter.

Serve with rice.

just felt like cooking today... it's therapeutic, and well good for procrastinators like me too. bored of studying, just cook. found this recipe on lily wai sek hong. that woman can really cook. just click on her link on the right if you wanna look at more recipes.

Ingredients:
250g glutinous rice2 cups water/chicken stock100g chicken meat
100g Char Siew(bbq pork) - slice1 Chinese sausage (lap cheong), - didn't use these but would prob taste better if you do.
slice10g black Chinese mushrooms, soaked and cut into thin slices

Seasoning (A):
1 tsp light soy sauce - used superior mushroom black sauce instead
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp oyster sauce
1 tsp ginger juice - i used slice ginger
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Shao Hsing Hua Tiau wine - dry sherry will do as well, i added 4 tbs. smell nicer.
1 tsp oil
1 tsp tapioca flour - didn't have this so omittted.

Seasoning (B):
1 1/2 tsp light soy sauce - used superior mushroom black sauce
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp oil
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp Chinese five spice powder - if you don't have this, you can make your own (providing you have a herb grinder) recipe from http://www.foodreference.com/html/five-spice-powder.html

Method:
Wash glutinous rice, then soak it for two to three hours.Steam it for 30 minutes. - I used normal long grain rice. cook the rice bit soggier.
Cut chicken into slices. Marinate with seasoning (A) for about one to two hours. I cooked chicken in a small pot together with mushrooms.
Heat oil in big glass bowl and microwave for 2 minutes.
Add the chicken and mushrooms, microwave on high for 2 minutes , stir and cook for another 1 minute more.
Mix cooked glutinous rice and seasoning (B) - cooked the rice together with seasoning. the taste absorbs into the rice.
Grease six small-size rice bowls.Arrange mushroom slices, a few slices of Chinese sausages ,chicken and bbq pork slices.Top up with glutinous rice and press down with a ladle.
Fill the bowls with water/chicken stock, make sure the water level is above the rice.Steam for 30-40 minutes. - easier, put in microwave for 30 secs. just put 2 0r 3 tbs of chicken stock if you using microwave.
Alternatively, wrap the bowls with plastic wrap , poke the wrap and microwave on high , 3 bowls at a time for 20 25 minutes.
Repeat with the other 3 bowls.
Turn over the rice bowl onto a plate and serve or leave to cool before wrapping tightly with wrap and then foil, leave in the freezer. When you need to eat them, remove the foil and microwave until heated through.
Loh Mai Kai can be eaten with chilli sauce.

nasi beriani

have been cooking.... reviving my hobby, it makes me happy.... this is my first attempt at nasi beriani, had this craving to eat it.... and too stingy to eat at indian restaurant... too ex, so the best solution? cook myself!! you can find the recipe at http://www.bawarchi.com/contribution/contrib2739.html - for the curry, i used lamb instead of mutton. Make sure you use ghee, smells a lot better. And to figure out the spices, use wikipedia.

made the rice differently though....

Ingredients

450g/1lb basmati rice (for a more authentic flavour and texture it is best not to use easy-cook rice; however, it will still work and be very tasty if you do)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
large knob butter, plus extra to serve
4 cardamom pods ( used bout 8)
8 cloves
1 cinnamon stick ( give it a wack so it breaks into a few pieces)
pinch saffron threads (too ex here so I used immitation saffron to give it a nice yellow orangy colour)
2 bay leaves ( i put 5 or 6)
600ml/1 pint hot chicken stock, vegetable stock or watersalt ( chicken stock is recommended)

Method

1. To make sure you get lovely fluffy rice, wash it in several changes of cold water, then leave to soak for about 30 minutes in fresh cold water. If you don't have time for this, place in a sieve and wash under the cold tap for a minute or so.
2. Cook the onion in the butter for around 5 minutes until softened. Add the spices, saffron and bay leaves and cook for a couple more minutes. The spices will give a wonderful fragrant flavour to the rice. Add the rice and stir until the grains are coated in the butter before stirring in the stock or water and salt. Bring to the boil and then cover with a tight-fitting lid. If the lid isn't very tight, cover the pan with aluminium foil before putting the lid on. Turn the heat down low and leave to cook for 10 minutes before turning off the heat. Don't remove the lid; just leave the rice to continue cooking in the pan for about 5 minutes until you're ready to serve.
3. The rice should have absorbed all the water and will just need fluffing up with a fork. Add a knob of butter before serving.

Tried cooking the rice like the 1st recipe, but it didn't work, rice was too undercooked. her curry recipe is good though.

Overall, a very successful cooking session with 5 happy and full people after. Daryl gave me 99% for my nasi beriani and lamb curry, said it was better than restaurant standard. Whether he was trying to flatter me into cooking more for him, that's debatable.

beware of what you ask for.... you might jus have your prayer answered in ways you did not expect. i m reading A Love Worth Giving by Max Lucado, and i feel there are areas in my life when it comes to loving people that i NEED to change... so there, reading and then applying... so i asked God for situations where i may love people and put others before myself... and find that it wasn't so easy after all.... to put myself 2nd and consider them 1st...

1st scenario... dirty, dodgy looking man ( look at the judmental words ) came up the bus, sat in front of me, started to talk to me, telling me he's from Darwin, has been staying at the salvation army for a couple of months, got his own palce now, started asking me bow to speak bahasa malaysia... after a while took out a bottle of beer and started drinking beer at 1pm in the afternoon.

my reaction: cringing inside, oh no!! still got long way to go before my stop, pls let him get down soon... he's so weird. might be intoxicated. mentally tried to do a mental state exam on him ( good patient to practise on k?) okie, try to be nice. jus talk to him. but don't be too friendly. so it was all so weird, trying to look sideways to indicate, i don't really wanna talk. half thinking, if this were one fo God's angels, i have just failed the big test. i wonder how Jesus reached out to those who were beggars, ugly, dirty.... and not feel that stranger awareness and protect yourself from these weird people feelings. God, help! i know Love is Kind. i am so not kind or nice... i need a mental revamp!! i didn't realise such things so much before, but after reading the chapter on love is kind.... i'm so not it!

2nd scenario... patient in a wheelchair in the hospital's lobby. spilt milo/coffee on the floor. he could have waited for someone to come and clean it, everyone would understand. he was wheelchair bound after all. but he wanted to clean up the mess himself, so there he was with a bunch of newspapers trying to wipe the mess. from the wheelchair. i was there. just walked out of the bank. wondering should i help him? and decided then that i had other things to do. how mean is dat!!! i half kept an eye on him to see if anyone else would help him... and this other bloke came and help him, i feel better for him, worse for myself. you could have been the one who ran there n helped him cleaned up the mess. selfishness.... preoccupied with my ownself... Love is not self seeking. i think i was pretty darn selfish.

got other scenarios as well, but since this is not beating up myself session, i shan't go too much into them.... just to show me reality of my own soul and character, i have to change. i want to change. i am going to change.

step 1 comes from realising, why I wanna change. because He 1st loved me.

amazing grace was awesome... it's movie by the way for those who are wondering what th heck i am rambling on about... about a man who fought long and hard to abolished slave trade.... it is titled amazing grace because it's the story of the man who wrote the song "amazing grace". He was the captain of a slave trade ship. the cruelty, inhumane suffering that he witnessed led him to write this song i believe. the description of being traded like animals, shipped in cubicles the size of standing coffins, with no proper sanitation or waste disposal.... dying of despair or dysentery.... it all seems a vague and faraway... yet it is the brutal fact of life that it all happened... and how evil and deprived men can be... an inspiring movie that a few men and women can change what seemed a hopeless act of cruelty into a crusade of hope, justice and freedom for people who were undefended.... some day i wished i could do the same... fight for something i have a real passion for, do something to make this world a better place....

this is so true. seeking God's will in my life was more a out look searching for things that are external. and today's daily bread devotion reminded me, i should do some soul searching, look inside my heart and check what's obvious rather than to look outward for something obscure. hoping God will show me some sign however small. I should check the condition fo my heart whether there are any issues that are obviously wrong or need to be brought before God.

And i somehow know, i could be more patient, i could be more forgiving.

i m back from manila... at my relative's house now.... so dat's why so free and nothing much to do.... blogging.... has now turned into my remedy for boredom... and jus to pass time and ramble bout random stuff... okie... i m suppose to blog bout manila....

1 thing is for sure.... i feel so blessed to be back in m'sia.... no where better than home.... the conference was great and all.... but i think i m starting to hate travelling and sitting around airports.... bout 30 hours of flying and hanging around airports for the past month or so is getting to me..... i still wanna go places.... but i think not in a long while.... i need a break....

Manila.... was pretty excited to go, didn't sleep much the night before... cos was afraid i'd oversleep.... zzz at 12 woke up at 2 stg... dozed till 4.... we were all quite zombified. yen, foon n i.... went to the airport... only half the people were there... okie.... so we were quite early.... 5 stg n d flight's at 7 20am. well, i always like to be on d safe side of things... nvm, the many "nyek nyek nyek" from nick saying i'm not a seasoned traveller bla bla bla and only need to turn up 1 hr before hand and only crazy ppl would turn up so early at the airport.... oh, nvm.... no point arguing.... at 5 am in the morning, there were many crazy people at the lcct.... like hundreds....

4 hrs of flight.... tried to catch some sleep... guess wat? the seat wouldn't recline.... grrrrr..... dumb air asia, and when they made the announcements, "please put up your seat...." excuse me.... cannot even recline. well found out later on, some of the other seats could recline and some have to really wack it real hard only can... probably was too stiff... anyway caught some winks here and there.... reached at 11 stg, no time difference between manila and here.... met some of the people from the KL church and a pair of twins from every nation new zealand... took a shuttle bus to Manila, the airplane landed in Clark which was bout 2 hrs away.... Clark is like Kelantan or Kedah.... goats, kerbau, paddy fields.... you get the idea.... zinc houses.... entering into Manila, the traffic gets heavier.... see more jipneys(pic above) - open air vans that are the cheapest form of transportation around.... many colourful ones with different patterns and funky graffiti on them.... look sorta cool, but we didn't sit on 1.... for the fact, it only goes short distances then you have to get off and get on another 1 (too troublesome), it's open air and the air is really polluted...

I have been in hibernation for the past 2 weeks besides going back to Adelaide for the weekend and clinic sessions on weekdays. Think I sort off enjoy the hermit life. Like Yen and I said…. “umang umang” supposedly with orange shell and small yellow flowers… well, it’s sort off nice to ignore the world once in a while and jut do my own thing, not have to worry bout others but just pleasing myself. It’s certainly a selfish way to live in the long run but for short breaks…. It sometimes is a relief… I think sometimes I just want to ignore the entire world including God, everything and just shut up from everything. It is however not possible to do that without people around trying to break into my “umang-umang” shell…. And it does get lonely, thus my online relationships on msn with people… they are safe, they don’t make me feel like I have any obligations to pretend to be anything… oh well, I could look like crap in my pajamas n still yak on msn…. And yet sometimes some people break into my peace and quiet and make me deal with issues I would rather not deal with…. For e.g., family problems, friendship issues, this and that…. May be minor or major… disturbing my currently really quiet and boring life…. and it forces me out of my shell… which is uncomfortable, can see why “umang umang” like to hide in the shell. It’s hard, it’s safe, the world out there is a dangerous place for a softie…. You will get hurt….

Nothing drastic has happened…. I just like my alone moments… and yet not be lonely…. Which is not entirely possible. There was no one in d house for the past 3 days and I was totally fine. I cleaned the kitchen, toilet, baked, plucked oranges…. Watched my Korean shows… as I have been for the past 2 weeks…. And it kills time. It takes up so much time actually just waiting for it to stream, I think by the time I finish watching like 3 korean shows it’s time for me to sleep…. Man, this life certainly is as if I am so super free and need not study… which isn’t true…. I should be studying…. But this GP rotation has been really chill, the docs are nice…. I read up a couple of things… but otherwise, I really don’t see the need to study that hard…. I tried, 1^st^nd week, clinical problems in general medicine and surgery… week… oxford clinical handbook. I finished ecg part n some cvs stuff… 2 I think I studied bout 5 cases…. Or better, mostly bout lumps in the neck, groin, breast etc. all my surgery knowledge flew off after hols last year. Might be earlier than that… blerggghhhh… post holiday syndrome… it’s hard to jump start myself to study, I even brought my books back home to study… I didn’t even touch them….my procrastinating self…. I am an expert at wasting time… there should be a Procrastination Competition… I m sure I qualify and have a good chance at winning too, on the other hand, might have a lot of competition… *_*

Looking forward to going back to Adelaide in 4 days times… and even more to going back to KL to my sayang… listening to Disney songs now…. Mulan – a girl worth fighting for. It’s quite funny… at times like this listening to some funny weird songs, just suits current mood…. 4 days I hope it passes soon… but 3 weeks please pass so super slowly… really hope Manila will give me a big kick in the butt and get me moving for some time… you know sometimes when life becomes too mundane, need something different to happen to shake me out of this procrastination… it’s something that is a big problem for me…. When there is something really urgent for me to, I will just do it all out… but then if nothing much turns up after that… I will be taking this break…. Trust me can be quite prolonged… until the next something turns up…. And if it doesn’t I go into this slow mode…. Really kemalasan terserlah…. Nick said… you like a cat, can sleep for 20 hours… I don’t think cats do that. Koalas do that… well, ya…. In super procrastination mode, I probably can laze for 20 hrs… n only have 4 productive hours a day…. Of well, eating, msn ing, watching anime or Korean movies… seeing friends, going out….. I suppose it’s a good thing I m studying medicine as well… need to always study and be on my toes, if I were in one of those courses where can skip a lot of classes and exams twice a year… I think I would be lazing through my year….

sigh... i wanted to put a picture up showing God = Comforter.... well not exactly the blankie punya comforter.... but well, it's nice to have God around me like a comforter on a cold winter's day... with a mug of hot chocolate and mashmallows... n ended up finding something like 15, 000 images that are irrelevant.... showing blankets and other things... well, as a consolation... i found a very nice mug of hot chocolate.... however, i didn't wanna make it seem like God = hot chocolate.... somehow didn't seem very right. though hot chocolate is really good n comforting as well.... it's not dat cold here in penang...actually quite hot and rainy....

think i will need a lot of hot chocolate when i go back.... ( i really don't wanna go back yet- especially maitland)

life has jus improved.... hehe... i m back in malaysia finally!!! it's so awesome to be back.... weather's hawt hawt hawt.... but it's been awesome, eating n being with nick.... and gonna see my sis n meet up with fat fat today.... i love malaysia!!! man, times like this jus makes me feel.... this is my home. waaaaagghhhhh! missing everything so much....

the fast has finally ended. nothing dramatic has happened externally but i believed internally God is working.... this fast has really strengthen my friendship with yen.... thank God for her constant support and love... and for myself.... think it jus puts into perspective how important certain things were to me.... like eating and planning meals.... alll became suddenly so much more difficult, how important these things were to me.... and how i could do without them.... and survived!!! truthfully i really don't think i wanna be vegetarian again for a long long time... and i m happy to be back msn ing.... it's good to know, i won't die of loneliness or boredom if i don't msn for 1 week...

went to ecf yesterday.... finally bought the cold out album, it's great.... especially like the songs, "Here I am" and "Always in My Heart".... God is good....

In such times, we are vulnerable to wrong assumptions and conclusions about life, about God, and about prayer. In Psalm 13, David wrestled with the problem of unanswered prayer. He questioned why the world was so dangerous and pleaded for answers from God.

It’s a hard psalm that David sang, and it seems to be one of frustration. Yet, in the end, his doubts and fears turned to trust. Why? Because the circumstances of our struggles cannot diminish the character of God and His care for His children. In verse 5, David turned a corner. From his heart he prayed, “But I have trusted in Your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.”

i have wondered what happenes if my prayer don't get answered by the end of thse 21 days? would i lose faith? this is today's devotion and i believe God wants to me to breakthrough like the walls of jericho... keep on marching... may be pretty ridiculous and doesn't make any sense at this current moment... but jus keep marching and be obedient.... the walls will come tumbling down....

i still remembered... 2 years ago.... the prophecy... the walls will come tumbling down... like the walls of jericho.... and at that time it did... and i m contending that it will too....this time.... come crashing down....

God is good. my 1st super obvious answered prayer for the week... my leave to go back in july got approved~! has been worrying me a bit since i'm taking 3 weeks off to go back to malaysia and to go to manila for Every Nation Conference 07. I really want to go for this conference... and believing for great things to happen there and even before hand that God will prepare me through this fast.

some pretty crappy and sad things has happened this week... and that is to be expected as well. when we fast and pray, the enemy prob is definitely not sleeping.... prob up to no good... but sometimes can see myself reacting badly to situations.... but thank God He has prepared me to deal with the issues and problems that came this week. and overall i feel God.... YOU ARE DEFINITELY WORKING.... despite the facts, the circumstances, i m believing for greater things to happen.... to all the people who are also fasting, add oil!!! persevere!!! yen, we can do it together!! it's been a good week.... despite the hunger pangs and not eating chocolates, drinking my tea.... and jus normal food i take for granted.... God, You are a good God.

was encouraged by this psalm while blog browsing... saw this on aiky's blog. this has been a hard 4 days of fasting. 1st 4 days and alrady many things has happened. and i woul say for some situations, God really prepared me before hand so i can handle it a lot better than i would usually in the same circumstances. God helped me come to terms about some things and to rely adn depend on Him. i thank Him for being there for me and just watching over me. i thank Him for sisters and the people around me. i thank Him but in Him i am able to overcome and believe for greater things. trials i did not ask for, yet i had to go through.... God thank You for being there to hold my hand.... please help me accept Your will and be obedient. i can forsee that there will be a lot more to come. after all, breakthroughs don't comeby easily or else it won't be called a breakthrough and it's a lot more than hunger pangs.

bencinya!!! ya this whole leave thing is quite annoying.... ngiao.... however i m sure i can tough this out. blergghhhh.... wanting to take 2 weeks off my international primary health care MSA to go back to malaysia and to go to manila for EN 07. a lot of the paper work and processess has been quite a pain. but i m sure it will all be worth it. really lookig forward to this besides the struggling with finances, leave, supervisors, etc. have never taken such a long leave ever from uni. 2 weeks is not much but for me who only ever ponteng 1 or 2 days at the most, it's a lot. i just don't know how people can not turn up for stuff and get away with it. like not turn up a lot without formal leave. and here i am struggling to apply for formal leave and coming up with a lot of crap. part of us just wish, screw it, i just go back n take my 2 weeks. then i come back 2 weeks later, and well if they fail my 1 MSA, it's not the end of the world since i can fail up to 10 weeks. n it's only freaking 3 weeks.... but on the other hand, i do want to get things done properly, not just run off and be irresponsible.i am going off for 2 weeks, i should at least inform someone that i m taking this leave right? all makes sense, nontheless not as easy as it seems. i've already made up my mind anyway. that i shall go back for the 2 weeks. looks as if the supervisor is saying, you migth as well not come at all since you are missing 2 outta 3 weeks. then i shall extend my hols to 3 weeks. instead of 2. anyways.... i believe God will make a way. and i shall have to grow up and not be so kiddy. i can do this!!! it's jus applying for leave.... chua su ling, don't be a wuss!!!!

today is the 1st day of my 21 day fast... woke up not feeling that great.... not one of those days when i wake up and i feel like i m ready to take on the world.... but one of those that i felt like pulling the blankie over my head and going back to sleep.... till i m more ready to face the day.... pulled myself together and got up and decided TODAY IS THE DAY.... 1ST DAY OF MY FAST.... i am getting up to pray and get on with life.... no hiding under blankie....

above is the verse for today.... it transpired from a loved one telling me he craved power. he would like to be a real life bad guy. and that worried me. so i went on biblegateway and did a word search on power... and this is what God said.... Paul prayed that the ephesians may be enlightened to know the HOPE, the GLORIOUS RICHES and the INCOMPARABLY GREAT POWER for us who believe. what caught my eye was.... INCOMPARABLY GREAT POWER.... as this loved one craved for power.... so do i want to know this INCOMPARABLY GREAT POWER that i am able to access from God. to be able to plug in and tap into the POWER. to be a POWERFUL in witnessing, influencing the lives of the people around me.... to be POWERFUL in the way God has called me to. not so i can stroke my ego and feel good bout myself. but to be effective as a child of God....

8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

the workings of my heart... it's hard to describe. sometimes i don't even know what i want.... going into 21 days of daniel fast with the whole church starting tomorrow. gonna have to forsake all my junk food - smith's, oreos, tim tams.... ice coffee, wicked wings... it will be good .... and pray for what i really want from God.... whether it's revelation for my life, salvation for loved ones.... what do i really want? too personal to post up here.... but for 21 days, i am really gonna contend for these things.... and fight for what i want.... after all.... if it's for eternity it will wbe worth the 21 days... there are things that won't budge with normal mild asking... God, if you would please.... but require more persistant asking and knocking.... maybe i should barge in and break down the door.... haha... so like me... impatience!!

how i feel now.... miserable but don't feel like talking bout it.... trying to ignore the fact i feel miserable and getting on with live with a smile as fake and bright as a neon light. *not working as well*.... even ong lai who is freaking blur notived i looked unhappy.... i just jabbed him in the ribs... after all, since i don't feel like talking bout it, i might as well jus jab him or smack him a few times, which didn't make me feel better. usually venting my frustrations by smacking ppl ( esp guys) make me feel tons better.... i just feel kinda down inside... i m holding up though....

probably cos i haven had a serious tornado in my life for quite some time or probably small ones... which was probably a lot easier to deal with... last 1 2 yrs ago broke me.... maybe i do need some breaking.... and i m not being sadistic.... jus mere 4 days before going into 21 days of daniel fast too... * whole church going to have a daniel fast for 21 days starting on the 14th may* there is definitely a good reason to fast now bot that there weren't any to begin with... i feel like hiding... man, i haven become soft n mushy... i imagined i was way tougher than this.... anyway, just determine not to let this throw my life into chaos.... older not equals to wiser.... yet experience do sometimes give us an advantage especially to deal with one's emotions and shortcomings.....

talking in riddles.... why do i feel like i m being cheated of something God has promised me? or is it that He did not promised in the 1st place.... or maybe i should contend more for it other than blaming Him for not fulfilling His end of the promise..... God, help! a crisis is prob what is gonna be bring me down to my knees.... and one that is gonna help me stand in the future.... i need to rise above this situation.... and see the big picture.... it is for the best....

the frustrations of having a screwed up connection.... it's been acting up for the past 2 weeks. ug!!! oh why why why adam must u behave in such an idiotic way? grrrrrrrrrrrr..........keep on dc when i half way online.... that's why i have been going off and on msn. like a biscuit? ( i don't know what is the connection to biscuits but that's baya analogy) on and off... so freaking annoying... good thing there's a unsecure line around... altho i do feel bad sometimes... to put it this way. if i use the unsecure line i don't do the dowloading n youtubing.... just to make myself feel better. after all it's not my line. i do treat it as my spare line sometimes when i get extremely frust with stupid adam and just wanna be online so bad. onlining is my part time in adelaide, especially when it's cold, rainy, wet and somewhat miserable...

i m bored.........grrrrrrrrrr...... well, there's studying... and there's studying.... it's sunday evening... one of the more depressing days in a week.... sunday eveving when i wake up to find my weekend nearly gone.... oh well, hehe.... was a non study weekend. nice... i m so hard to please. i don't wanna study yet i feel like the weekend has been waste if i don't...hehe. i still end up not studying. i really should. i know. it's nice to sleep in. to go kai kai with friends. to jus chill, after all... mon - fri have to study have to go hospital d .... i can give myself a break right? hehe.... so what is the solution of bored but dun wanna study? bug people on msn..... hehe. my fav pasttime. as baya would say. yakking.... keep on yak yak yak...

good thing i wanna be a physician... more a yakking job than surgeons.... they jus cut, chop, suture... sounds so gruesome....

just finished wtaching 1 liter of tears. found it really inspiring. the story of a girl who had spinocerebellar atrophy. how she struggled as her body failed her. slowly 1 by 1 of her normal function - walking, talking, swallowing failed her.... nonetheless her heart remained strong and how she persevered even in the loneliness and darkness of what was happening that she was such a light to others. she helped them, encouraged them to continue to push on to fight on... and even though she struggled so much herself she wanted to help others. she wanted her life to count for something. she wrote a diary that sold 180,000 copies worldwide to give courage to others who are too in pain and struggling.

i didn't really cry. some people told me they cried bucket loads ( maybe exaggerating a bit) but it just showed me how frailed humanity is and yet how resilient we can be in the midst of sickness and pain. and in the midst of darkness light can shined so brightly from the person whose life has been shattered. and i look at myself, and feel that i want to be a better person because of that. with my functioning body and the many blessings i have... many times i have chose to selfishly pleased myself.... whereas someone who has her health taken away from her, the life she could have had the brigth future that she would have lived taken away from her.... she chose to be an inspiration, she chose not to give up... she chose to live her best. i feel like i wanna lived my best too.

i wonder how many times do i need a new hear? i think more like everyday than just a once off thing. sometimes it just seems like nothing is right with my heart. so i don't even know where to start cleaning up. so i ignore watever is wrong.... it's all vague and messed up anyway.... other days, i wake up... such clarity.... i know very well what is right and wrong.... the world seems prefectly black and white... no hard decisions.... all pretty straight forward, sometimes i really wished the world isn't usch a complicated place.... can we all be programmed to wanna make the right decisions? and can it be that there are multiples right answers and multiple wrong answers? blergghhhhh.... so how would we know we have entirely made the correct decision for ourselves and others? or should we just blunder around in life and somehow hope that our judgement is sound enough to not screw up badly....

God,help!!! what happens when i don't know what exacly to do and God seems totally silent? WAIT? till when?

this is what i think....do i try to make the most sound n logical decision based on facts, circumstances and conscience? seems simple enough. but actually think it x work that well. 1st life is illiogical. if i think bout it, if i totally believe in the supernatural God which is unexplained by science, how can what i believe in be logical? here comes FAITH..... so should i just make the decisions by FAITH that God will support me and go with me? even though it may be the most illogical way to go at that moment....

i have made tons of decisions based on something as stupid as human wisdom.... and some of them turned up alright and some screwed up..... and i have made decisions based on God's wisdom, His Word and how He has guide me.... it hasn't bunked up real bad as far as i can remember although can be pretty hard.... i think His way is probably the best way.... jus have to figure which way is He leading me too....

hehe... my dearest is here! well a bit slow since she has been here from thursday. but o well, better late than never, after all too busy having fun to blog...

it's nice jus chilling with old friends. so if any of you wanna come visit bunny n i, most welcome. for me, i m always bored anyway so people coming is nice....

hehe.... we were to barossa valley to see all the wineries and taste wine. surprisingly, baaaa was a real good girl, she didn't really drink, hehe.... i was quite nottie, jus tried everything... mostly dessert wines and liquers.... the table wines can't compare after that. bougt a bottle of apple wine which we opened last nigth after a nice bak kut teh dinner with lots of chilli padi... haha. baaa n i were struggling to eat chilli padi. super pedas! but was good. nice chinese dinner.... with apple strudel, grapes and apple wine at the end.... hee hee... went to port adelaide to see the dolphins... sadly there was no dolphins. we were freezing our butts on the ferry but as nice.... taking photos. (tons of them) and jus yakking.... bot a heart shaped thing to hang in my room. it's cute.... it says "hoem is where i hang my heart" well, which is totally true since i won't be hanging my heart at anybody else's house.

gonna go out soon.... n upload the pics... picasa is somehow not working anymore. some cookies problem which i cant' figure out how to fix... so now using slide... which is fine as well. can upload tons at 1 go...

hmmm.... for once i m at loss at what to blog... blergh, was thinking bout something then dear housemate came barging into my room adn i lost my train of thoughts.... to myself *always blaming other ppl... tssk tssk* today is saturday!!! and it's a holiday on monday cos sunday is easter sunday.... hmmm, n deep down in my heart, i m asking myself? why the heck am i so focused on holiday instead of the actual significance of easter? yesterday went to church for Good friday service.... had communion.it was a super short sharing by pastor mat before communion, on how it was a sad sad day for God and for Jesus' disciples when He died, since when do we rejoice when someone dear to us die? imagine even when my hamster die oso i m sad, what more a human? but for us, a happy day because of what He's acoomplished at the cross, if He did not die and rose again everything we have been doing in church would be utter rubbish and what i believed in for the past 5 years would have been jus pure philosophy. i decided it's happy Good Friday for me....and this theory in my head is that altho it was a sad sad day for God and His disciples when He died.... IT was a joyous day that He rose again and the power of death and darkness has been defeated....

and thus it was a happy day for all.... now.... except satan of course, coming back to why i m so much concerned bout holidays... cos it's been tiring with peds exams just last week and just a week end in between for o n g this week.... this break.... a Godsend. well, it literally is anyway. altho for different reasons. so well, everyday's filled with some activity.... shouldn't i be resting? hmmm... yesterday was church then a bbq in d evening... which was awesome.... today church program - chicken run tonight.... tomorrow church and victor harbour to see the fairy penguins... monday is free.... maybe i should get down to studying... jus so dun feel like it.... it's 4 precious days. maybe a teeny weeny bit of studying so i won feel guilty after of spending the entire week end bumming around...

i am bored right now. trying to think of something constructive to do besides surfing and reading other people's blogs. you can find otu a lot abotu a person by reading their blogs evn though you don't knwo them well. and well, i m just bored.... it's after peds exams... and i adi went to harris scarfe yesterday.... they had 50% off nearly evrything in the shop. din buy anything. (i'm so kuai) hehe.... the stuff was still expensive.... there was a very cute pair of pink slippers i liked for 15 dollars but wat the heck. it's autumn so just don't make sense to wear slippers. and i have bout 4 pairs of shoes i haven even wore and some since last year. bot this pair of shoes that were quite cute frm betts last year, just cause it's cheap. and went back to find it's too hard at the back, would prob cause me blisters unless i wear socks. which really don't go. so i have been procrastinating on wearing. sigh, i know i should have gone back to return it.....but was jus thinking well maybe i would wear it after all..... okay since it's bout 6 months past i better get down to wearing them since there is no way i m returning them now. another tot, i could give them to a 2nd hand shop if they really hurt my feet....

besides the point, anyway i bot 2 more pairs of shoes bout a week ago, they were really cheap and i have a feeling thery are gonna cause blisters too. i think it's just my feet....they always blister, 1 cause i don't like callused feet so i pumis them and put tons of lotion till they soften up.... bunny's theory jus let the blister callus up and they will form callus in the right places n it won't hurt anymore.... but I DON'T WANNA HAVE UGLY FEET!!! alternative.... wear comfortable ah ma shoes... jus put up with the blisters.... don't whine so much, who tell me to keep on buying new shoes jus cause they r cheap.... watever...

good news is .... i can wear my new boots to church tomorrow.... haha, it's full blast autumn now, so it's cold enough, it's jus stupid to wear boots in summer altho some ppl do, when i can wear sandals n flip flops... i wear my open toe stuff to hospital too. nobody cares, some docs do it too.... hehe, jus try not to meet any mean docs or nurses or wear them to OT... dat would be disastrous altho i have done that as well jus wear those funny shoe cover thing over so it's not noticeable, after all it's jus to watch an endoscope.

man, do i sounds like a total bimbo... i have to admit, i m a total shoe addict, i love buying shoes.... more shoe n bag person than clothes....

i am going shopping tomorrow!!!! tea tree plaza, here i come!! well, for a heater.... and maybe a new winter jacket.... want one of those long ones... i already have one. dun think it's very warm...

should i wear my beanie? hmmm... think it makes my face looks fat.... chubbiness.... wat to do... as usual buy stuff siok siok... but in the end din really wear.... :(

hmmm.... hopefully God'll help me find a nice and good and cheap heater.... i don't wanna freeze my butt in winter.... brrrrrrrr...... jus not taking the cold very well.... a good reason to go back to msia for good, at least i can enjoy the nice warm weather and not bother bout jackets n sweaters n d likes.... jus go out n wear watever....don't matter.... it's so boring here. i don't even know where to go. limited places to go for entertainment that's affordable for students.... i feel like going karaoke.... jus sing stupid songs in my out of tune voice till i feel happy... siao....

listening to some crappy jap song on my fren's com. dun really like most of his song collection. jus different taste....

i m so suppose to be studying right now. but jus feel unsettled, dat's the most accurate word for what i m feeling rite now. jus not quite right but not too wrong either like got a lump in my heart...was going tru some online surveys. found a web where they pay u jus to do online surveys. onw 100% it works. anyway no harm trying out n oso get a free mac, i m still kinda wary but well, who knwos... if i do get a free mac in the near future i will recommend it to you guys out there.... anyway back to this unsettled feeling, was feeling kinda excited... prospects of making money online.... hmmmm.... on the hadn quite wary that nothing is free in this world n sure enough after a few links, some offers require u to spend even 49 cents jus to qualify for the free gift... man, FREE is not equivalent to free id have to take up offers that require to u pay to qualify for the FREE gift.... blerrgggghhhhhhhhh...

was thinking. how come i am not so half enthusiastic bout the things of God compared to like.... getting a FREE gift that i don need? just a thought.... jus sat there for a while n prayed.... bit unhappy with myself cos of that.... ya, sure i m human, maybe tad bit materialistic, i reckon it's a female thing to like sales and free things n stuff well i dun really need but jus feel like having.... for the heck of it, well, those who know me well, i m a total hoarder, can u believe i had stuff from primary school up till last year. and dat's cos my papa chucked most of them out cos he was renovating the house. sigh... and i was lamenting for quite a while bout my stuff.... and well, on the other hand, i m kinda not too fuss ed bout expensive stuff i lose. like i lose like gold chains, white chain chains... expensive trinklets, money.... not that small sums either... and i jus sorta got over it and well, wasn't too sad bout it for too long, i lost my laptop.... well someone stole it...some would be depressed for a while.... i got over it, maybe in 3 days? wondering if i m crazy.... 1, i still think i m a bit materialistic cos i love shopping n nice stuff...altho i dun go for prada, gucci or anything like that.... 2, i think despite that i m not too fussed bout losing the stuff i already have.... sorta like.... i dun even know if you get what i mean.... like i like to have stuff, but i dun love them till i cant bear to part with them or throw a big fit if i lose stg big....

i really should be studying and not pondering on all these things... turned up my fav worship songs n jus worshipped for a while, felt somewhat better, hope God will shine a torch into some areas of my heart and come out with this really meticulous analysis of what's in there. sometimes i just cant figure myself out....maybe i don't really wanna know. ignorance = bliss.... knowledge = responsibility.... maybe the great reason is i m not ready to know too much... i might not like myself much after that....

well.... it's a new year...altho this is already march... so it's sorta already the 3rd month in to 2007... tot it would be good to revamp my blog... it's autumn here in aussie land. getting quite chilly. freezing my fingers now typing... otherwise quite bundled up... weather has been horrendous last week. up to 40s most days... this week is lot cooler ranging bout 16-28. now i understand why the "whites" are so much into discussing the weather. it's an important part of their life here. i check the weather forcast regularly. to decide what to wear. whether to go out. it has a significant influence on my life. whereas in m sia. who cares rain or shine. jus drive la. can go shopping mall or somewhere sheltered. not a problem. well since i m walking here, i m quite exposed to the elements.... well, at least it's free weight loss program... hehe... i should be studying. but then again, i think i shall watch mean girls... :)
